Digital Scrapbooking with Adobe Photoshop Elements (PSE) and Adobe Photoshop (PS)
Insert the ScrapSimple Embellishment Templates: All Stitched Circles (available in Straight, Blanket, and Thick Stitches) into your transparent digital scrapbooking layout document.
Hold the Alt key down and click on the round icon that looks like a circle that is half black and half white. It says, "Create adjustment layer" when you mouse over it. Here is what the drop down menu looks like when you click on it.
When you hold the Alt key down and click on this icon, you will get this dialogue box. Put a check in the option to "Group with Previous Layer" and click "OK."
You will now get the option to pick a color for your stitching.
You will now have this. Notice that it looks like your stitches don't have any texture on them, but we will fix that shortly.
Select the "Overlay" lighting option and reduce the Opacity until you like how it looks. You will want to have the texture show through, but still have the color look right. This is the setting that I choose to use.
This is how the stitching looks at this point.
Merge the color layer down by using the command Ctrl+E. (Mac users – Cmd+E.)
If you want to brighten the colors even more, use Enhance> Adjust Lighting> Brightness/Contrast and you can make your stitches look bright and cheerful!
