I have been experiencing a growing fabric obsession over the last few months. I am learning to sew as well but I seem to enjoy collecting the fabric as much, if not more than making things with it.
The best part about my new hobby is that I am a digital scrapbooker too which means that the possibilities are absolutely endless. I have actually spent some time awake in the wee hours of the morning dreaming up ideas for the marriage of my two hobbies.
For example, I can use one of my big flower embellishments and print it out, transfer it to fabric and create a wristlet. I could print out some fun baby themed embellishments and transfer them to fabric to create a cute baby blanket for a gift.
Headbands have been a really fun thing to make that allow me to learn the basics of sewing. I would love to use some ScrapSimple paper templates to create outline floral patterns that I can stitch over to create a brand new pattern on a plain fabric. What a fun headband that would make!
Now you see why I have lost a bit of sleep recently. I am a hobby junkie and wish often for more time!

As Jas said. She who dies with the most fabric wins – and it never goes bad. You can print your beautiful designs directly onto fabric (backed with freezer paper). You can print onto transfer sheets and then iron onto fabric. You can print it out on matte paper and and use gel medium to transfer onto fabric. Think of the memory quilts. aauugghhhh! I have to go sew something now.
