Note: The screen shots will look slightly different
as we very recently updated our message board.
The first step in updating your signature is to go to "My
Controls" at the top of your task bar.
Double-click on this link. Look to the left hand side of your screen.
Focus your attention near the bottom where it says "Personal
Profile."
Click on "Edit Signature." You will notice
a new window opens that shows both your current signature, and a box
where you can edit your signature.
Start by entering your name, if you wish. By entering your name in
your signature, you won't have to sign your posts, as your signature
will automatically sign them for you.
After you have entered your name, highlight it, and change it any way
you wish. You can make it bold, or make it a certain color. All this
can be done by highlighting it EACH TIME you make a change. So if you
change the color of your text, then decide you want it bold as well,
then highlight the entire line and click on the big "B" above
the window.
Now, click on "Update Signature" below
the box and check above under "Your Current Signature,"
and you will see that change to what you just typed.
You can add other items to your signature as well. (Note: Please
read our TERMS OF USE statement to find out what we allow and what we
don't allow you to put in your signature.)
To add a ScrapGirls blinkie to your signature, you will need the addresses
to the blinkies. They are as follows:

To enter a blinkie, click on the Picture Icon above the "Edit
Your Signature" box. You will notice that a window opens
in the upper left of your screen. This is where you enter the address
of the blinkie you wish to add.
Click "OK" in that box. The command line
will appear in your editing box.
Now click on "Update My Signature" and
you will see your latest updated signature below "Your
Current Signature."
Congratulations! You now have a signature. Let's say that you
want to add a link to all of the layouts you have posted in the ScrapGirls
gallery. Here is how you do it. First, open a SECOND browser window.
Go to www.scrapgirls.com and
then go to the gallery. Once you are there, search the Members Gallery
until you find one of your layouts.
When you find one, click on your username next to the words "Uploaded
By:"
This will bring you to where any user can find all of your layouts!
You will need the address of this page, so go to the address bar at
the top of your browser window.
Copy this address. Go back to the browser that has your signature window
open. Click on the Plus Icon next to the Picture Icon above your signature
window.
Again you will notice a small window open at the top of your browser.
Paste your address here and click "OK."
It will then prompt you to enter the text you want your viewers to
see. Here you would type "My Gallery," or something similar.
Click "OK." You will see your command line
appear in the "Edit Your Signature" box.
Finally, click on "Update My Signature,"
and look above to see your current signature.
From here, you can continue to add what you wish to your signature!
Just click on any menu item to get out of "My Controls."
