Not Just For Scrapbooking - Baby Quilts from Layer Your Own Brushes
I went home to spend some time with my mom for a few days. While we were there, I was looking at some of her latest quilts. She is a die-hard quilter and always has a couple in the works. She does amazing work and we are never short on quilts in our house. We were discussing the lack of cute baby patterns out there for quilters and I suddenly got this idea to use the ScrapSimple Layer Your Own Brushes and Embellishment Templates for appliqué on quilts and clothing. Of course, we had to try it out.
We used Erica's ScrapSimple Layer Your Own: Baby Rattle, ScrapSimple Layer Your Own: Baby Buggy, and ScrapSimple Embellishment Templates: Precious Two. We didn't think it turned out too bad for our very first attempt. The picture isn't the greatest here, but you can get a good idea of how we used them.
So, think outside the box. A lot of these products don't have to be used for only scrapbooking. I know there are a few more really cute ones that I'm dying to try on some shirts for my girls.
