Product Review: ScrapSimple Card Templates
Review by Beth Santos-Gugol
Creating cards is something I love to do for my family and friends, ever since I was a kid. I remember using bond paper and folding it into four and putting on stickers, cutting out hearts and designing them. Sometimes I even surprised my parents with a special card and would put it in their bags or room.
Nowadays, creating a card becomes easier with the computer. I am happy for that. I want to start teaching my daughter about this craft.
Scrap Girls has created ScrapSimple Card Templates to make it easier for us. All you have to do is insert the photo, paper and embellishments you want. It's so flexible and you can modify if necessary. You can make it digitally and send it to your friends online, or you can have it printed and send to them in the mail, or vice versa.
I will be showing you how it works with DIP and PS CS. I have friends who will be giving birth in a few weeks time. So I decided to it would be great timing to create a Birth Announcement for them.

For DIP users, open the desired card template. Drag the files to your base card and you will see them form the "stack," also known as "layers" when you are using Photoshop.

This is for Photoshop.

On the right screen, you'll see all the things we needed to create a card. This is from Amanda's ScrapSimple Card Templates - Layered: 4x6 Photo Greetings.

Once you are done, you can now choose papers and embellishments to complete your card.

Modified version in DIP.

Papers from Erica's Precious Girl Collection.

I selected a paper from Erica's Precious Girl Collection, this is perfect for my birth announcement.

Finally, I'm done! A birth announcement for my friend, she will be having a girl this month. I added some shadows on the papers and embellishments.
