If you are like me, you are addicted to the Scrap Girls Message Board (MB) and are afraid to miss posts. Did you know that the MB will email you when there is a new topic posted or there is a new post to a specific thread? I love this feature of our MB and am here to share how to do this.

On the main MB page, after you have logged in, you will see a list of links just under our site links. There are links to My Albums, My Controls, View New Posts, My Assistant, Messages and My Friends.

If you click on View New Posts, depending on the day and how long it has been since you have logged into the MB, there can be multiple pages of new posts. It can be hard to sift through them all.

As you post into threads, you can click the box to Enable Email Notifications. This will send responses to this thread to your registered email address.

Another way you can have the MB email you is to subscribe to a forum. For example, if you never want to miss a digital scrapbooking challenge, you can subscribe to our Challenge Forum by clicking the Forum Options box at the top of each forum and choose Subscribe To This Forum.

This will open your My Controls Panel where you choose what type of notification you would like to receive. The default is Delayed Email Notification. Click the circle in front of which option you would like and click the Proceed button at the bottom.

You can use your Control Panel to manage your forum and topic subscriptions. Click on the My Controls button to open the Control Panel.

On the left-hand side, about half way down, you will find your subscriptions. Click View Topics to see the threads you have checked for email notifications. View Forums will take you to the forums to which you are receiving email.

When you are in either Topic or Forum View, you can change the notification type or unsubscribe if you no longer wish to receive email notification. The white button on the top right selects all or you can check them individually. At the bottom of your list is a drop-down menu where you change the notification or unsubscribe after you check them with the selected button.
