Michelle Coleman, a designer for Scrap Girls, LLC ( www.scrapgirls.com ), will appear on the Sunday, May 22nd episode of ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” hosted by Ty Pennington.
Michelle and 19 other scrapbook designers from throughout the United States and Canada worked together to complete scrapbooks for the family featured on the show. In just three days, Michelle worked as a part of a team with five other designers in Flagstaff to put the finishing touches on the albums. Using laptops and trying not to blow away in the heavy winds, the six scrapbookers worked away under a big blue tent near the show’s makeup trailer.
The interior designers from the ABC show all stopped by periodically to see what was happening. The team was filmed with both Constance Ramos and Michael Moloney, two members of the show’s design team. Michael took a special interest in what was happening and explained the process in his own words on film. He “made it sound fabulous!” Michelle said.

The scrapbookers made three albums - a family book and two children's ABC books. They were printed and bound into beautiful coffee table books.
Michelle said: “It's hard to know just how much will air on the show Sunday night. But we are also scheduled to be on the show Monday on “How'd They Do That.
“All in all, quite the amazing experience! We haven't seen the family’s reaction yet. We were invited to have dinner with them after the house was turned over, but our flight was leaving and we couldn’t stay. We were there for 6 days! Saw the whole house built and we even were able to help move in furniture.”

Dena Cooper, Laura Vanderbeek, Lori Barnhurst, Wendy Morales, and Michelle comprised the scrapbooking team.
Michelle said she “would definitely do it again! In a heartbeat!”
“I was able to meet (face to face!) some of my online digital friends and I was able to help make a difference in the lives of a wonderful deserving family. AND, I got to meet Ty!
“It was such an amazing experience to collaborate on a project like this. We have been told by the producers of the show that our books were the most talked about gift by the family. We'll have to wait for their reaction to our books when the show airs!”
Michelle, a self-proclaimed computer nerd, found digital scrapbooking in December 2004. She is a stay at home mother and self taught graphic artist. Her work has been published in Creating Keepsakes, Legacy Magazine, Memory Makers, and Cantata Books. Watch for her on Sunday, May 22 nd on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and on Monday, May 23 rd, How’d They Do That.
Michelle lives in Layton, Utah with her husband, Paul, and her two daughters, Brenna and Lorynn.
