With the New Year now in full swing, we often think of the year past and make resolutions, or maybe we choose just one word to focus on all year.
Choosing a word of the year has become fairly popular among bloggers and scrapbookers. Last year, I decided to try it out and see what happened. The word I choose for 2011 was SAVOR. My intentions when choosing SAVOR was that I begin to live life more fully and bravely. I wanted to take more pleasure in my life and enjoy it.
Ro shares one of her hand-drawn cartoons. Check it out!
Many of us would love to print out our 8.5x11-inch layouts to frame and display on the wall, but the standard and most readily available frame size is 8x10 inches. In this article, I will show you a few ways to resize your 8.5x11 layouts so that you can print them at 8x10, trim, and place them in a frame!
If you're like me, you have decades of photos that need scanning into your computer so that they can be digitalized and archived so that they don't deteriorate any more than they already have over the years. (My photos are covered with scratches and lint from years of inadequate storage and careless handling.)
Marriage and parenting bring with them a whirl of things that need to be done; so many deadlines, you can't count them.

Muse: To be absorbed in one's thoughts; engage in meditation. Not intended to solve the world's problems, another person's problems, or to cover topics completely. One does not have to agree with musings to enjoy them, just as one does not have to be the same as someone else to appreciate who they are.
Would you like to earn a $20 Gift Certificate? Send your own muse to hello@scrapgirls.com. If it is selected for publication in the Scrap Girls newsletter, you'll get to have fun shopping!

Yes, today we are going to play around with using digital scrapbooking supplies from Paper Bag Album Paper Mini in a digital scrapbooking layout. This product is a creative, fun way to make layouts on your computer. Just like real paper lunch bags, the digital version has wonderful texture and will add warmth and depth to your artistic layouts. You can use the bags themselves as the base of the layout, but today we are going to incorporate the bags into a bigger 12x12-inch layout. The paper bag files are roughly 5x11 inches so they are perfect for including into this size of digital scrapbooking layout.
Whether you are just starting or finishing up a themed scrapbook album, you'll want to create a great title page to introduce your theme or subject. Because your title page is the first page your viewer will see, you need to plan the message you want it to convey.
I wanted some paper snowflakes for my digital scrapbook layouts to show the lace and beauty of a real snowflake. So I created ScrapSimple Paper Templates: Paper Snowflakes - Holiday Mini to add that touch of hand cut snowflakes that I decorate my windows with.
One of the biggest reasons I was drawn to digital scrapbooking was the ability to create beautiful layouts without a huge price tag. With just a couple of products, you can easily express your creativity and beautifully showcase your photos.
In our family, we have favorite recipes that we use again and again. Bet you do, too! Today, I want to share an easy "recipe" for creating clusters for your digital scrapbooking layouts. The inspiration for this project was this picture of my granddaughter. She just turned two, and I wanted to do a page with this photo, but I didn't have a cluster that worked with these colors.
