"The Terra Collection is one of my very favorite designs. It's funny because it came together so quickly. The inspiration for this collection happened while in the midst of doing an outside home improvement project. Some paint splattered onto the leaves that were laying in our yard. In an instant, I knew I wanted to design a fall collection based on paint splattered autumn leaves. I chose a color palette that is softer than many found in fall collections. It allows my photos to shine. It also has a worn, outdoorsy look that appeals to me. I find the combination of highly textured background papers, beautiful colors and patterns mixed with the taped borders and elegant frames fits so many of my autumn photos. Best of all, most of the papers found in this collection can be used year round." 1. What is the first thing you do when you get up in the morning? I let the cat out of our finished basement! Why is he locked in the basement overnight, you ask? Cody loves to play (loudly) in our bedroom in the wee hours of the night. And, Carson and I don't! He doesn't really care that we would like to sleep. We've tried locking him out of our bedroom, but he is pretty much a "Houdini" and gets in every time. Every morning, he begins to meow about 5:00 a.m. to let us know he is ready to be sprung from his prison. Next, he lets me know, loudly, that it is time for me to brush him and give him his morning treats. He sure has me trained. 2. What programs do you use? Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Illustrator... on my Mac Book Pro, of course! I love Better Zip to quickly unzip my digital scrapping goodies... the faster, the better! I also love using the free Kindle app on both my computer and iPhone. |

East Coast High Noon Crop

Join April (April Showers) each Wednesday at 10am MT for the East Coast High Noon Crop. All coasts and time zones are welcome! These crops are designed to allow you to work on your own photos and themes simply giving participants a one hour goal and a fun, new challenge each week. On November 9th, we'll do a font challenge! Create a layout on any theme, any topic, and any colors - using multiple fonts - at least 3 different fonts! Mix it up! Create your layout and upload it to the special High Noon Crop Gallery. You'll be amazed what you can get done in just one hour, but there is no High Noon Sheriff timing you! Hope to see you in the chat room!

November Message Board Game: Thankfulness Game!
It's time to give thanks for all the large and small blessings in our life! Each day during November, with the exception of Sundays, a member of the Welcoming Committee will post the name of an item for which we are thankful in the official game thread. To participate in the game, you will search the Scrap Girls Boutique and Gallery for layouts including that item, and then post a link to either the product or gallery page in the game thread.
Each member who links to a Boutique product layout will be entered into a drawing for one of three $3 Gift Certificates. Each member who links to a gallery layout (and leaves love on the layout) will be entered in a drawing for one of five $5 Gift Certificates!
