Rozanne Paxman
Chief Executive Officer
Experience. This single word summarizes what Rozanne (or Ro, as the team calls her) brings to the Scrap Girls team.
It was her experience at Novell when she pioneered for-sale electronic delivery software for the company that gave her the background she needed to ensure that Scrap Girls' back-end delivery processes are secure and customer friendly.
It was her experience launching new products for Novell and Making Memories that gave her the knowledge necessary to make sure that of the details required for a satisfactory outcome for Scrap Girls customers are developed and followed.
It was her more than 20 years experience as an educator and corporate trainer that gave her the vision of providing easy access to training materials to help scrappers and paper crafters understand how wonderful this new technology will be for them.
It was her experience as a Product Manager for Making Memories and Director of Marketing for Scrapworks that helped her have inside knowledge of the scrapbooking industry. It was this same experience that showed her that consumers, retailers, and manufacturers can all benefit from the same technology that software companies have used successfully for years.
It was her lifetime of experience as a professional musician, theatrical music director and book author that gave her first-hand knowledge of royalty payment plans. She knew that these same plans could be migrated successfully into scrapbooking, opening doors for talented designers to get their designer before the public and allowing consumers access to wonderful designs.
It was her more than 30 years experience as a scrapbooker and paper crafter that helps her to see what opportunities exist in the marketplace. She knows what scrappers are looking for - because she is looking for the same things for her layouts! Her designs and articles have been published by Memory Makers, For Keeps, Scrapbooking.com, and Cards & PaperCrafts, Practical Publishing, Scrapbook Magazine, and Adobe's Photoshop Elements Techniques magazine.
Rozanne's vision for Scrap Girls includes:
-
Large "mall" of fabulous designs available now to consumers
-
Opportunities for new talent to showcase their designs
-
Opportunities to build skills in digital scrapbooking techniques
-
Ground breaking digital scrapbooking products
-
Supportive, friendly environment where scrapbookers of all levels will feel welcome and accepted
Rozanne's family includes a very supportive husband, Gary, four children (three sons and a daughter) and one very busy grandson, Raevyn.
If you want to get a real picture of Ro, visit our message
board and read her muses in the Scrap Girls newsletters. As
one of the readers has said, "Rozanne I love your musings!
I have dubbed you the Erma Bombeck of the scrapbooking world."

Valerie Randall
Creative Director
Valerie Randall is a graphic designer and illustrator. Her broad background includes illustrating everything from coloring books, textbooks, greeting cards, and user interfaces for computer programs to digital and printable scrapbook kits.
Valerie was the principle of two successful Bay Area design firms, and her client list included Broderbund, Lingual House, Sandia National Laboratories, Charles Schwab, Levi Strauss, and AT&T and Pacific Bell. She became specialized in three-dimensional design, which led to a five-year teaching career at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco .
Since 1997 Valerie has provided visual and copy content for many of Broderbund Software’s best-selling product packages, including The Print Shop, PrintMaster, American Greetings CreataCard, ClickArt, and others. Intimate knowledge of this user-friendly software has given her a distinctive understanding of the creative possibilities, including a collection of user shortcuts and production tips.
In the course of this work, Randall designed sets of themed projects leading her to write and self publish a book, FanCraftic Party Crafts, a popular book about computer crafting. As principle of FanCraftic, Valerie was looking for ways to market her book and discovered digital scrapbooking to be a unique medium. After creating the crafts for your party, why not make a scrapbook to match?
Valerie began producing a line of digital elements for scrapbooking. In the meantime, Broderbund joined with Creating Keepsakes to produce Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Designer Deluxe software. Valerie was asked to create samples for the packaging and her interest in digital scrapbooking became her passion!
She now illustrates and designs a variety of digital and printable page kits and champions digital scrapbooking!
