Prior to her discovery of digital scrapbooking in December 2006, Joann had been an on-again/off-again paper scrapbooker – loving the creative aspect, but hating the mess. When Joann discovered digital scrapbooking in the form of Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0, she had just finished a huge (messy) project, and was more than happy to focus on pixels rather than paper cutters. Computer-aided scrapbooking was a natural step for Joann, who has always thoroughly loved anything and everything about digital design, and she is currently enjoying working with Adobe Photoshop CS4. She also enjoys photography, especially photographing her children, who may or may not be willing victims.
When she is not scrapbooking (or on the message boards), she loves to read and spend time with her family. She graduated from BYU with a major in Humanities. She and her wonderful, supportive husband Mike have been married since 1997, and they have four amazing children.
Joann discovered Scrap Girls in February 2008, and was hooked! She has met many wonderful, inspiring people because of the Scrap Girls message board, both online and locally. Joann treasures her associations with this amazing community.
Joann is especially delighted with the opportunity to work with the amazing, talented Digital Scrapbook Layout Artist Team, while fulfilling her life-long dream of creating to inspire others.
